*Insert running picture here from the last two weekends*
Well heres a much needed race update!
Last weekend I ended up running the 800 on a 300m track at the Spire Institute and wow that facility is just prime! however i was not prime lol.
I did pr but i didn’t run the time i wanted to. I may have ran a 2:38 but i really wanted to hit a 2:30. So maybe I’m just not there yet, or I’m just not that speed based? But i shook it off and moved right along with my training!
Then i hit the track again over this past weekend with another 1000m. It might not have been another PR but it was 2 seconds slower than my pr in the 1k (if you will) and I’m okay with it! I had a hard week of training and my legs were tired, you can’t pr them all right? But i also ended up running the 4x800 on our B team and i ran the pace i wanted to for my 1k of course! but i ran a 2:43 for that really tired so i had a good speed workout after a hard effort in a 1000, and it didn’t help that i got boxed in as well during that race.
Now its a by week and I’m pretty sure i have a good possibility of running the 3k in 2 weeks! AHHHHHHH! Im so hyped! I really hope my coach let’s me do it!
