I just miss running…
The recovery struggle
The fact I can’t even walk 10 mins without foot pain is making it so hard to keep positive, but I’m trying.
And the fact I also convinced my coach I was okay to race yesterday(when I clearly wasn’t) didn’t help either.
I felt the need to do something since ive been so negative lately, and i dont like it.
anyway. this post is roughly a years difference, youd think it was like 4.
i look incredibly healthier, stronger, and well older (lol)
and nevertheless i am faster. i remember the race on the left i ran a 24 high, i was joke my senior year. Now i break 21s like its nothing.
All it takes is determination, discipline, drive, and a bit of patience too.
being injured sucks.
Literally looking for every little thing to keep me positive right now.

Sunday Long Run Day!
well i feel like making this since well i haven’t wrote on here in a few days so ill tell you about my run today!
So today, like every sunday i ran 10 mi but we approached it a little different today. I had to do my first 6 easy at 8 min mile pace and then negative slit the last 4 in 7:30s.
Nevertheless i held my first 6 beautifully, and when the last 4 came around i kicked it in… i hit 7:23, 7:29; 7:12, and 7:06
and i did this run with 2 hours of sleep. how? i have no clue but i actually felt really good!

FIRST COLLEGIATE MEET RECAP (yesterday)
As you all know yesterday was my first collegiate meet.
I know you’re all itching to know the low-down so here ya go:
so our season opener happened to be on my home course against 2 other teams in out confrence. my coach picked the 5k race distance this year so i was super pumped. nevertheless, i couldnt race the way i exactly wanted to. i was given a race plan to hold 6:45/mi pace until the last 1k where i should run >3:59. so i went out conservative… to an extent. i did go out in a 6:17 and quick soon found my pace. as the last 1k rolled around was keeping up with two girls from one of the other schools. i decided to do what i now do best. i sat and kicked the last 200 m. my coach was SCREAMING, he was so hyped. i ended up out kicking them by quite a bit and i ended up, you guessed it… I PRED AGAIN!!! i ran a 20:41. a 15 second pr. ! im so hyped. i cant wait to see how fast im going to be at my next meet in 2 weeks.

Tomorrow is a super exciting day for me since its my… FIRST COLLEGIATE RACE!
and guess what its home!!!!
its a tri meet but its still going to be awesome and i have to follow a strict race plan.
One of my fellow teammates also made us race bows! (ill put a pic below) & no worries i got two since i race with braided pig tails :p
but i still hope my coach is making me pr. if not i will negative split the last 1k hard core.
oh we are running a 5k tomorrow. super pumped for that.
ANYWAY fun tidbit. it took me literally all day to make this post (lol.) the top pic is that i looked like for classes and this is what i look like now, after dinner and practice:
hmm i seem to be loving that hand thing today…. lol
