100 happy days day 3. After one of the most stressful nights I’ve had in a long time it was nice to get out and run at one of my favorite places. This trail will forever be my favorite Sunday for the next 4 years.

1500

welllllll

guess who ran a 5:28 1500

ME

and that converts to a 5:48 mile

IM SUPER HAPPY

but my 800, well yeah

i was tired

but the conditions were horrible.

it was so windy and cold so my coach changes all of our race plans when we got there.

so now i have a off week for out HS meet and then i run a 3000 again that next weekend!

lets get stoked !

FIRST COLLEGIATE 1500 TOMORROW

IM SO HYPED

YEAH

except I’m doubling with the 800 after

but I’m still going to hit PRs tomorrow since i have a all new form and its more efficient than ever

Toe strikers unite!

Sorry for the short hiatus but it was only because I was on spring break with my team down in myrtle beach!
So my team goes down there every year for 10 days and attends both of coastal Carolina’s meets. The first weekend I ran a 3k, which didn’t go so well but it’s okay since my mileage is still low and we had a 12 hour bus ride 2 days prior. So I brushed it off and trained with a positive mind set for my 800 the following week where I executed my race plan almost perfectly, ran super competitive and just missed a PR by a second! So I have a feeling these next few meets are going to be full of progress for me and cutting huge amounts of time! I’m super excited to double in two weeks the 800 & my first ever collegiate 1500! I just have to keep on doing what I’m doing and my races will keep on going how I want them to go! I hope everyone else’s outdoor season is getting out on the right foot! Keep me posted on how you all are doing, or feel free to shoot me a message for advice on anything!
Keep on running my runners!

Foot rant… more like positivity outlook!

Being a runner with an arthritic foot surly has it’s struggles when the wether can’t decide if it wants to stay 20, 50, -10, or just above 0 in the matter of days. Being this is happening a flare has been triggered and my foot has been uber tight again eeek! And of course it’s just when I’m starting of feel like I’m stronger than ever and I’m ready to have a great outdoor season but I’m not letting my foot hold me back. It doesn’t hurt, my orthotics have been gods, I wear them all the time to prevent this, I’m even heating my problem joint as I’m typing this! I’m not going to act like everything’s the end of the world anymore it’s not worth it. I’m sick of not being at my best performance just because I let something get into my head, it’s time to get back to my head strong malicious self when I’m running that I was in the summer and I know it’s back, averaging 7:40-47pace per run is certainly showing it. Here’s to beating the odds, and not letting arthritis slow me down anymore.

Smile! Positivity is key and easily spread through to others (:
Keep your head up & keep moving forward my runners

And that’s what a callus on your toe exploding during a run looks like. K cool thx foot.

Howdy ya’ll!

Well heres a much needed race update!

Last weekend I ended up running the 800 on a 300m track at the Spire Institute and wow that facility is just prime! however i was not prime lol.

I did pr but i didn’t run the time i wanted to. I may have ran a 2:38 but i really wanted to hit a 2:30. So maybe I’m just not there yet, or I’m just not that speed based? But i shook it off and moved right along with my training!

Then i hit the track again over this past weekend with another 1000m. It might not have been another PR but it was 2 seconds slower than my pr in the 1k (if you will) and I’m okay with it! I had a hard week of training and my legs were tired, you can’t pr them all right? But i also ended up running the 4x800 on our B team and i ran the pace i wanted to for my 1k of course! but i ran a 2:43 for that really tired so i had a good speed workout after a hard effort in a 1000, and it didn’t help that i got boxed in as well during that race.

Now its a by week and I’m pretty sure i have a good possibility of running the 3k in 2 weeks! AHHHHHHH! Im so hyped! I really hope my coach let’s me do it!

But here’s to a new week of training my runners, i hope you all started off on the right foot (: <3

Guys my toes are officially disgusting again. You know what that means… IM BACK UP TO MILAGE!

Hey Guys!

The throwers on my team decided to get really creative during camp week so they made this video What Does the Track Coach Say? during our workout yesterday.

My team would greatly appreciate if if you viewed it and well spread it to your friends if you enjoy it!

First race back i can really say I’m feeling like myself again!
So last night we had a indoor meet and i ran the 1000 again like i did right before exams and christmas break and lets just say it was rough and i can just tell i wasn’t back yet. so my coach and i’s goal was to train train train with the 3 week break and see a 5sec improvement at this meet.
well lets just say i killed it.
14 sec pr.
passed a girl on my own team.
out kicked two girls
and even improved my kick (which is almost impossible to do btw)
so i guess we can all agree I’m back to kicking ass and taking names.
My road to full recovery has been a hard one, but at least I’m almost to the top of it’s mountain.

Climbed the fence of my local high schools track since the DAMN GATE WAS LOCKED. Hahaha little do they know that won’t stop collegiate athletes. And yes it was brutally snowing. Those 600s and 400s weren’t too fun, but being a rebel was. Mwahahahaha.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!
I know it’s been awhile since I’ve really been doing my posts and believe me it’s always on my mind. But I was distracted yet focused on other things than this and I also felt you all didn’t need to see struggling and negative injury/recovery posts. So here I am! Trying to get back at this while I feel like I’m almost myself again! I wish all of you the best this year! Much love & keep on running !❤️
