You never realize how much you love running until you can’t run for an extended amount of time.

it doesn’t matter if it’s your first injury or 45th;

it hurts just as bad (if not more) each and every time.

Reblog if running changed your life.

monochromaticblack:

"be stubborn about your goals but flexible about your methods." the best advice I’ve ever received.

Running is running. It hurts, but that’s all it does. The most difficult part of the training is training your mind. You build calluses on your feet to endure the road. You build calluses on your mind to endure the pain. There’s only one way to do that. You have to get out there and run.

Runners be like:

  • Around other people
  • Person: cross country isn't even a real sport
  • Runner: FUK OFF MATE RUNNING IS THE REALEST THING ANYONE HAS EVER DONE I WILL LAY DOWN MY LIFE FOR THIS SPORT
  • On the team
  • Coach: mile repeats on the track today at goal pace
  • Runner: Everything hurts and running is terrible

I haven’t given up and I don’t intend to. One day, I’ll be able to run stronger.

I’m not running
I’m not sure if I’ve posted about this yet but since like July 1st the top of my right foot has been gradually killing me.
About 2 weeks ago I’ve had enough of it’s BS and told my coach, we changed my training and kept me off of hills and hard surface still no change, so last Friday was my last run and STILL the pain is getting worse.
So nontheless I’m not sure if I’m going to have a XC season again
But it’s okay I’ll be stronger once again for track.
And I’m super excited for my team and seeing how the season rolls out for them. Today isn’t tech a race, they’re fartleking it since it’s our regional cource and super hilly and tough.
I may be upset about not running but everything happens for a reason and I have to continue to remember patience is key -and with every set back there’s a bigger and better comeback

xoxo- molly
